Queen Elizabeth NP

MG_1337-300x227Queen Elizabeth National park is located in the western part of the country and plays host to lake George and Edward that are joined together by water line called Kazinga Channel. This national park crosses the equator line with monuments on either side of the road mark the exact spot where it crosses latitude 00. It boasts of one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world, almost 100 mammal species and 600 bird species which can be seen on a launch cruise along Kazinga channel. Elephants, Hippos, the elusive giant forest hog, the Uganda kob and the famed tree-climbing lions, among others are found here
